FLAT No. 6: collection of photos, drawings and videos 2013 - 2015

For nearly two years, Barényi took photos of the same area of the flat in which he resides, always in the morning after a party ended. This resulted in a large collection of still life, which documents random groupings of objects that were left behind in the flat after a party. The author supplemented these shots with drawings of the same spots he took photos of. The drawings sites, however, were already cleaned, as if he wanted to say to us that photographs document places, while drawings idealize them.
This sizeable collection of photos and drawings can be perceived as a form of a photographic diary. The work was a part of the exhibition ‘TRYING TO FORGET’ that formally addressed diaries and their forms.


BYT č. 6: zbierka fotografií, kresieb a videí, 2013 – 2015

Takmer dva roky Barényi fotil rovnaké miesta bytu v ktorom býva, vždy ráno po skončení párty. Vznikla tak rozsiahla zbierka zátiší, ktorá dokumentuje náhodné zoskupenia predmetov ktoré v byte po zábave zostali. Fotografie autor doplnil o kresby tých istých miest ktoré fotil. Na kresbách sú už tieto miesta upratané, akoby nám chcel povedať že fotografie miesta dokumentujú, a kresby ich idealizujú.
Túto početnú zbierku fotografií a kresieb môžeme vnímať ako formu fotografického denníka. Práca bola súčasťou výstavy Trying to forget, ktorá sa po formálnej stránke práve denníkmi a ich formami zaoberala
